China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has announced that the GSM Association has approved China's Telecommunication Terminal Testing & Approval Forum to issue international mobile equipment identity numbers to Chinese mobile phone and more than 200 types of mobile phones have received the IMEI numbers.
Peoples Changes Name To China Mobile Hong Kong

The telecommunications company Peoples, China Mobile's subsidiary in Hong Kong, announced that the company has changed its registered name to China Mobile Hong Kong from December 5, 2008, though its service brand Peoples will be maintained.
