London, UK (March 12, 2010) /ChinaNewswire.com/ — The NGMN Alliance today announced its NGMN Industry Conference & Exhibition 2010 will take place on the 2-4 June, in Shanghai, China. As in the previous years the conference will feature an unrivalled line-up of top executives from NGMN partner companies and representatives from the entire mobile ecosystem.

The conference will be the key platform to gain an update on the progress of the mobile broadband industry on a global scale, to assess the commercial and technological challenges ahead and to give an outlook on upcoming technology developments as well as device and service innovations.

The Industry Conference attracts high attention from the mobile industry as the NGMN Alliance is established as the world-wide premier telecom industry organization for all next generation mobile network related matters and is supported by a membership base of 60 leading operators and vendors.

Throughout two days of keynotes, interactive panels and presentations, an outstanding line-up of industry executives and thought-leaders will explore essential trends and insights including: initial deployment and performance results; migration strategies and how to deal with heterogeneous networks; operational efficiency and the future of O&M; key enablers: IPR royalty rates and patent pools, spectrum needs, certification, roaming; devices, service platforms and mobile broadband for Consumer Electronics.

After the first commercial next generation mobile network deployments have emerged in 2010, the NGMN Exhibition with leading international NGMN partners will complement the conference with live demonstrations and product showcases of the latest next generation mobile network solutions. Exhibitors include:
Alcatel-Lucent, Anritsu, Cambridge Broadband Networks, China Mobile, Datang Mobile, Ericsson, Huawei, Motorola, NSN, Potevio, Rhode & Schwarz, RWTH Aachen University, Telcordia, Ubidyne, and ZTE.

Beyond the conference programme and the exhibition, participants will enjoy at the Industry Conference an excellent networking platform with evening events, networking breaks and the opportunity for a visit of the Shanghai World Expo.
