CMMB Mobile TV Gains New Semiconductor Solution

Newport Media has commenced mass production of its complete 65nm complementary metal-oxide semiconductor single-chip solution for the China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting digital television standard.

The NMI500 mobile digital TV receiver integrates an RF tuner, demodulator, memory as well as Mobile Broadcast Business Management System conditional access functions.

The device is manufactured using low-cost, 65nm CMOS process technology and is packaged in a low-cost and easy-to-manufacture 48 I/O Quad Flat No Led 6mm package.
