Nokia China Launches Developer Incentive Program

2009-12-17 by ChinaWirelessNews.com Editor | Print | Email Email

Nokia China has launched a CNY1 million developer incentive program to promote development of new application plans.

Miikka Nevasalo, director for Forum Nokia Asia, told local media that before January 18, 2010, development partners in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan can login at forum.nokia.com.cn to download the program template and submit their application development plans. Nokia will select the top 10 plans and give an award of CNY100,000 to each of them, in addition to free technology support, market resources, and sales channel support, including pre-installation of related applications in Nokia's terminal products.

At present, Nokia's Ovi mobile phone application store is undergoing a trial operation in China. This incentive program is expected to encourage more developers to join the Ovi camp.
