China Mobile's Southern Base Completed

2009-08-06 by ChinaWirelessNews.com Editor | Print | Email Email

With a total investment of CNY6.6 billion and an area of 490,000 square meters, China Mobile's southern headquarters in Guangzhou has recently been completed.

The new base reportedly integrates product research, industry cluster promotion, technology disaster recovery, and business cooperation; it will be put into operation at the end of 2009.

According to China Mobile, the product and research center of the southern base can test and verify new technologies, new equipment, and new services by simulating the real network environment, find out the problems in the new services and offer solutions, which provide technical support to the launch of new services.

A representative from China Mobile Guangdong branch revealed that China Mobile will set up a regional call center in its southern base to aid the establishment of data processing centers in various areas. In addition, the southern base will first create four major bases, covering China Mobile's terminal software, digital family, 139 community, and mobile market businesses.
