Beijing Unicom Arranges Special Service For October Holiday

2007-09-17 by ChinaWirelessNews.com Editor | Print | Email Email

Beijing Unicom has launched a series of special services before the National Day holiday to ensure smooth communications for users during the busy period.

Beijing Unicom has launched a business traveler program for its users. Under the program, users don't have to pay a monthly minimum, roaming fee or long distance fee. The cost for this service is as low as CNY0.25 per minute.

In addition, Beijing Unicom has decreased the fee for calls made to the U.S., Canada, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Malaysia from CNY1 per minute to CNY0.8. The fee for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau calls has been reduced from CNY2/minute to CNY1/minute.

In order to provide more convenience for users who want to travel abroad, Beijing Unicom is providing its Worldwind users an SMS service enabling them to make inquiries about their international roaming. It has also offered dial-back service for Worldwind post-pay users, which has reduced the international roaming fee by about 70%.
