2 Billion Short Messages Sent On Mid-Autumn Day

2006-10-08 by ChinaWirelessNews.com Editor | Print | Email Email

According to the estimate from the Ministry of Information Industry, about 2 billion short messages were sent in mainland China on the Mid-autumn Day.

As the Mid-autumn Day of this year fell during the National Day Holiday, it made it possible for many people to go home to gather with their family and the theme of family reunion was further enhanced on the day.

This was also reflected on the short messages sent on the day as many value-added messages with themes of togetherness and family were hot-selling items.
