Shanghai Unicom Plans To Launch 153 Number Section

2006-09-19 by ChinaWirelessNews.com Editor | Print | Email Email

Shanghai Unicom says that it will release the 153 number section in October this year to solve the number resource shortage.

This 153 section refers to the three numbers prepended to the beginning of each mobile telephone number.

As an affiliate of China Unicom, the only mobile communications operator in China that has both GRS and CDMA network, Shanghai Unicom says it has successively launched a series of enhanced network services based on CDMA1X, which can be smoothly transitioned to 3G networks. Shanghai Unicom will also offer relevant preferential policies to attract more users.
