Guangdong Unicom has launched a double-module card, which is expected to help it and its parent company China Unicom keep the development of their GSM and CDMA networks in balance.

This double-module card covers two networks of China Unicom with only one number, so users do not have to switch between the two networks before picking up an incoming call or reading a short message. It is more convenient than the double-module mobile phone that involves a switchover between the networks.

According to China Unicom, the fee for the double-module card is CNY120 per month. There is no surcharge for switching over between the two networks. China Unicom has launched a number of package services for the double-module card.
