Shanghai Unicom Introduces Lower Mobile Phone Rates

2005-07-20 by ChinaWirelessNews.com Editor | Print | Email Email

Shanghai Unicom has announced new measures to cancel different pricing policies for different network-based mobile phone calls. This will help lower the cost of some package services.

Shanghai Mobile launched its new pricing for Shenzhouxing Da Zhong card in May 2004. At that time, users could enjoy CNY0.15/minute preferential fees, and the receiver did not pay any fee if he was also a Shanghai Mobile service subscriber.

Following Shanghai Mobile's action, Shanghai Unicom has now started a CNY12/month rate for its Ruyitong card users.

From July 6, Shanghai Unicom will introduce a new pricing standard for Ruyi 133 and Xinshiji133. The cost is CNY0.18/minute, which is close to the CNY0.2 per minute fee of Little Smart PHS phones.
