China Mobile Launches Dual-Number Service

2005-05-18 by ChinaWirelessNews.com Editor | Print | Email Email

In order to compete with China Unicom's recent double module SIM card, China Mobile has now unveiled plans to launch a dual-number SIM card for its high-end customers.

The China Mobile dual-number service gives customers two distinct telephone numbers and is different from China Unicom's Double Module Card, which contains two SIM cards in one mobile phone. There is still no indication what price this new service will cost for Mobile's users.

In addition, China Mobile's deputy general manager Lu Xiangdong has announced that the company will launch a new brand called "Gotone A+" that will enlarge the amount of mobile services provided to users.
