China Unicom has finally revealed the testing of its 3G network in China.

The local media are reporting that the tests were started in secret as early as in February in Daxing, where China Unicom (Beijing) and its partners–Huawei and Motorola–have set up their test network.

The reviews test seven programs: wireless network, network administration, charging, service platform, terminals, system mutual operation, mutual connection and cruising and interruption. As expected, Unicom chose CDMA 1X to CDMA 1X-EVDO as the processing route.

The tests ended on September 20.
