Array Networks, a major player in integrated web traffic management and SSL VPN solutions for global enterprises, today announced that China United Telecommunications (China Unicom) is implementing accelerated SMS/ CDMA 1.X and Web infrastructure services by using Array Networks' secure application acceleration solutions.

China Unicom selected Array Networks as its partner after a rigorous evaluation of several Internet traffic management and application acceleration products. Array's N+1 clustering capability provides the high availability solution needed by China Unicom to scale to peak traffic levels that exceed two billion messages per day. With Array, China Unicom can easily support traffic spikes that routinely occur on days like the Chinese Lunar New Year.
