Juniper Networks, Inc. today announced that one of China's newest telecommunications service providers, Zhejiang Communication, has deployed E-series and M-series routing platforms in its new IP backbone and access networks.

The platforms will enable the company to offer high-quality, value-added broadband services in seven cities across the Zhejiang province. Zhejiang Communication, a subsidiary of national carrier China Netcom, selected the E- and M-series to become more competitive by building a strong portfolio of value-added services. The Quality of Service-based applications enabled by Juniper Networks platforms are particularly important to the company's ongoing success. Zhejiang Communication will also offer Layer 2 and Layer 3 MPLS VPN services through the M-series platforms.
